Career in Education: taught English as a Second Language [ESL] at DeWitt Clinton Hugh School in Bronx, New York, worked on opening an ESL high school at LaGuardia Community College in Long Island City, New York called International High School, deputy superintendent of the Office of New and Small Bronx High Schools, deputy regional superintendent for the East Bronx, senior instructional superintendent for school improvement and restructuring, chief academic officer for new schools, chief schools officer and deputy chancellor for school support and instruction, supervising superintendent of the Autonomy Zone, professor of practice in educational leadership at Columbia University, director of the Summer Principals Academy; work with Carnegie Corporation: work with Annenberg Foundation at New Visions for Public Schools, Joel I. Klein and Diana Lam of the New York Department of Education, the centrality and vitality of Michele Cahill's work in the New York Department of Education and Carnegie Corporation, Robert L.
