Developing interest in hemophilia in medical school; organization of first hemophilia clinic and first home-care division in New York; aspects of the "hemophilia community"; members of the community; denial, isolation, and risk-taking behaviors in people with hemophilia; "comprehensive care" model of hemophilia care in relationship to AIDS/HIV; early experiences with advent of AIDS in people with hemophilia; involvement in the "transfusion safety study"; current use of different treatment products for patients of different ages; current work with genetic treatments; future of hemophilia care in this area
