Scope and Contents

"The Megaphone Men" is an episode of the "Memoirs of the Movies" series, produced by Group W of the Westinghouse Broadcasting Company in collaboration with Columbia University's Oral History Research Office. In this episode, actors discuss working with various directors. The episode is hosted by Chester Morris and features the recollections of George Seaton, Otto Preminger, King Vidor, Rouben Mamoulian, and Edward Dmytryk. It also features Janet Gaynor on F.W. Murnau, Dana Andrews on William Wyler, Teresa Wright on Alfred Hitchcock, Jack Lemmon on John Ford, and Samson Raphaelson on Ernst Lubitsch.
