Scope and Contents

"Clips from the Classics" is an episode of the "Memoirs of the Movies" series, produced by Group W of the Westinghouse Broadcasting Company in collaboration with Columbia University's Oral History Research Office. The theme of this episode is the recollections of great movies by actors and producers. The episode is hosted by Ruth Chatterson and features the recollections of Janet Gaynor, Joanne Woodward, Zachary Scott, Jack Lemmon, Paul Newman, Roddy McDowell, Sessue Hayakawa, Adolph Zukor, Jerry Wald, Arthur Mayer, Ben Hecht, and Broncho Billy Anderson
