Scope and Contents

"Movies and Morals" is an episode of the "Memoirs of the Movies" series, produced by Group W of the Westinghouse Broadcasting Company in collaboration with Columbia University's Oral History Research Office. In this episode, interviewees discuss censorship of movies. The episode is hosted by Wendy Barrie and features the recollections of Cecil B. DeMille, Paul Newman, Rouben Mamoulian, Otto Preminger, Nunnally Johnson, Marc Connelly, Anita Loos, Albert Hackett, Harry Brand, and Martin Quigley, the author of the Motion Picture Production Code
