Scope and Contents

"The Big, Big Screen" is an episode of the "Memoirs of the Movies" series, produced by Group W of the Westinghouse Broadcasting Company in collaboration with Columbia University's Oral History Research Office. In this episode, interviewees discuss troubles for the motion picture industry at the time of the program. The episode is hosted by Howard Da Silva and features the recollections of Paul Newman, Jerry Wald, George Seaton, Hal B. Wallis, Dore Schary, David O. Selznick, Paul Lazarus, Kenneth McKenna, Edward Dmytryk, and Adolph Zukor
