Biographical Note

Gong Hao was born in Hunan. He graduated from the Military Staff College in 1919. Gong was an officer in the Hunan Army. He was also the Chief-of-Staff to Tang Shengzhi during the Northern Expedition.

Scope and Contents

In this interview, Gong Hao describes his military education, its development, and internal Republican politics from 1915 to 1926. He also talks about his role during the Northern Expedition and his relations from 1946 to 1949 with General Hu Zongnan. The interview is accompanied by 29 pages of English abstract and translation
