Biographical Note

Ji Yiqiao was born in Hubei. He graduated from a Japanese military academy in 1911. He joined the Shanghai Revolutionary Force. From 1914 to 1922, he was a military instructor in Yunnan. In 1922, he participated as a staff officer in the major campaigns from 1924 to 1925. He became the Chief-of-Staff to Zhang Xueliang and resigned after the Mukden Incident. After the Sino-Japanese War, he became a leader of the Democratic Socialist Party and a member of the National Assembly
