Biographical Note

Sun Liangzhong was born in Hebei. He enlisted under Feng Yuxiang in 1912 and rose through the ranks to a commander. During the Northern Expedition, Sun fought against the Manchurian forces. He was the Governor of Xinghai and later the Governor of Kansu. Sun joined the KMT in 1930 and fought against the Red Army, and later in the Sino-Japanese War

Scope and Contents

The interview focuses on Sun's military career and the battles that distinguished him as an outstanding field commander. Transcript also includes a memoir by Sun, copied by the interviewer
