Biographical Note

Zhao Hengti was born in Hunan. He joined the Tongmenhui while studying abroad in Japan, and later participated in the 1911 revolutions. He was a Governor of Hunan from 1921 to 1926. During and after the Sino-Japanese War, he was the Chairman of the provincial political council

Scope and Contents

In the interview, Zhao discusses his military and political career in Hunan and comments on important Hunanese officials. The interview is accompanied by 27 pages of English abstract and translation
