Biographical Note

Zhou Yongneng was born in Jiangxi and participated in revolutionary activities in 1911. In 1920, he went to Cuba to reitalize the KMT and raise funds for Sun Yat-sen. In 1922, he followed Dr. Sun from Shanghai to Guangdong. During the Northern Expedition, he served as a financial officer in Jiangxi and Nanjing. From 1927 to 1929, he was the Secretary-General to the Mayor of Shanghai, Zhang Dingfan (張定璠). In 1933, he joined Huang Fu in Beiping and served in the Shanghai municipal government from 1935 to 1937. During the Sino-Japanese War, he worked in Chongqing and Macau. Scope and Contents

In the interview, Zhou recounts the revolution failures, events he witnessed while he followed Dr. Sun from Shanghai to Guangdong, his political life during the Northern Expedition and the Sino-Japanese War. He also comments on the activities of the Legislative Yuan
