Biographical Note

Dancer, teacher.

Scope and Contents

Early training in dance, Grand Rapids, Michigan; degree in dance from University of Wisconsin, Madison; studies with Mary Wigman in Germany; experiences as a member of Doris Humphrey's augmented group for WITH MY RED FIRES studies with Louise Kloepper and Hanya Holm; creation and performance of TREND, 1937.
