Executive Secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change

Scope and Contents

Born in Malta (1940); Education: St. Edward's College and University of London (1959-62); Career: involvement in the Overseas Development Institute in Uganda (1963) and London (1965), work in United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, involvement with secretariat supporting UN climate change negotiations, UN Conference on the Human Environment and UNEP (1971-74), the International Foundation for Development Alternatives, consultant to the UN Office for Emergency Operations in Africa and the Office for Special Political Affairs (1980s), executive secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (1996-2002)
