Early life in the Bronx; father as a obstetrician/gynecologist; education: M.D., New York University College of Medicine, residency at Bronx Municipal Hospital, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City; National Abortion Rights Action League, board of directors; Arizona Right to Choose, board of directors; Planned Parenthood of Northern and Central Arizona, medical Advisory Committee; two years in the Army; experiences with teenage rape victims; lack of abortion training in the medical school system; different treatment in hospital administrations due to position on abortion; controversies over the appropriate situation for abortion; obtaining an abortion pre-Roe v.
