Born 1897 in Goes, Netherlands; master spinner at Forstmann Woolen Mills, Passaic, N.J., 1917-1957; senior research assistant, Passaic Valley Water Commission, 1958-1962; namesake of Marinus de Nooyer Water Works Museum, Little Falls, N.J.
