Biographical Note

Grace M. George was the director of the Visitor Center for the Great Falls Historic District of Paterson. A descendant of mill workers active in the 1913 Paterson Silk Workers' Strike, George helped revitalize the Great Falls Historic District in the late 1970s. She later created the City of Paterson Historic Preservation Commission's Koar-George Fund to provide scholarships to Paterson college students pursuing degrees in history, museum studies and related fields
