Acting as a child: "Our Gang" comedies, schooling on the lot, "The Champ," impressions of Hollywood as a child star; difficulties while growing up; being typecast; serious attention to acting; entertainment assignments during World War II; recollections of Victor Flemming and Wallace Beery; growing interest in directing and producing; future aspirations. Audio is comprised of narrator's excerpts from the Westinghouse Broadcasting Company's radio program series "Memoirs of the Movies"
