Born and raised Chicago, Illinois, 1918. Education: DePaul Drama School. Pursued acting. Involved in Actors’ Equity Association. Personal experience with housing problems led to the proposal to assist actors’ housing through Actors’ Equity Association. Advocated for on-stage actors to be considered a minority and based on income level should be eligible for low or middle income housing. Involved with Manhattan Plaza, developed guidelines for renting and admittance of performing artists. Personal experiences as a tenant, pet restrictions, maintenance of Manhattan Plaza. Actor’s housing, Actors’ Equity Association
