Scope and Contents

The Jeffrey H. Brodsky Oral History Collection consists of Jeffrey H. Brodsky's interviews with politicians, news figures and celebrities of the early to mid-2000s. Starting with interviews he conducted as a high school student in the 1990s and concluding with interviews with luminaries in 2010, the collection includes his signature oral history project while at Columbia. He conducted long-form interviews with over 84 governors, senators and heads of state including Governor Mike Dukakis, Senator George McGovern, Civil Rights advocate Jesse Jackson, and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfield, among many others. The finished historical retrospective was published in a multi-page feature in the Washington Post and on NPR
