Scope and Contents

Ruth Bloch (1925-) gives testimony about her experiences during the Holocaust. Bloch grew up in the Netherlands. She recounts the Nazi invasion of that country and the initial experiences of Jews during the occupation. She discusses her imprisonment in the Netherlands and forced labor in a factory there. She describes being transported to Auschwitz, the conditions and her experiences at the concentration camp, and the forced labor done by the prisoners. She discusses being moved to various camps in Germany as the Nazis retreated, the end of the war, and experience as a refugee in Denmark
