Biographical Note

Abderrazek Ben Khalifa is a magistrate, judge and politician. In 2014, he was appointed by Mehdi Jomaa as Secretary of State for Local and Regional Government. Before that, from 2012 to 2013, he was governor of Bizerte and then governor of Tunis. From 2011 to 2012, he served as the second vice president of the Financial Market Council, and from 1997 to 2011 he was an administrative judge. From 1992 to 1997, he was the secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

In this interview, Abderrazek Ben Khalifa discusses his reactions to the Tunisian demonstrations of 2010; the circumstances around his joining the provisional government; his interactions and relationship with Mehdi Jomaa; reflections on personalities in the provisional government; and his relections on the work of the provisional government and the environment in which it operated
