Scope and Contents

These four documents were generated by interviewer Holly Werner-Thomas as part of her Forty Percent oral history project on gun violence in America. They include "The Survivors: A Documentary Play," her Capstone Project for the Degree of Master of Arts in Oral History, the capstone blueprint, and a final project note. "The Survivors" is the script for a play written by Werner-Thomas that draws from the interviews of the Forty Percent project. The Capstone Project was completed in 2019, as Werner-Thomas obtained her MA in Oral History from Columbia University. It includes the play "The Survivors," a reflection essay, and exhibit materials. The capstone blueprint, dating from 2018, provides context for how the interviewing proceeded. The project note was written by Werner-Thomas in 2023 and provides retrospective analysis on the course of the project
