Scope and Contents

This project gathers the reminiscences of pioneer settlers in Alaska, providing accounts of gold prospecting, mining, cattle driving, homesteading, and travel by trail and river. Included are descriptions of the social life of the pioneers, as well as accounts of the depression of 1893 and the Klondike strike.
