Early years in government in Cordoba; development of Peronism; member, Chamber of Deputies, May 1946: factions, power struggles, personalities; leadership of Perón party, role of Eva Perón; description of structure of party: contributions of women, labor, regional groups, caucuses; political repression; Revolution of 1951: military uprising, economic problems, petroleum policy, student and youth groups, role of the Catholic Church; revolt led by military, summer 1955; role as Minister of Interior, July-September 1955; Army coup; incommunicado imprisonment, interrogation at Ushuaia, hardships; return to Buenos Aires, 1957; pardon; clandestine political activity during 1957-1959, contacts with Perón in exile; election of Frondizi.
