Emigration from China, 1935; teaching at Harvard School of Design, 1945-48; work with William Zeckendorf in Webb & Knapp, 1948-55, on urban redevelopment design; design of Roosevelt Island buildings, John Hancock building, Kennedy Library, Dallas Municipal Administration Center, and National Gallery wing; issues in museum design.
