Scope and Contents

Participation in Women's Movement organized by Eva Perón, 1949: social welfare activities, personal concern for children, elderly, schools, hospitals; development of Basic Units, later given political orientation and training; election to Chamber of Deputies, 1951-1955, Vice President of Chamber: effects of women in politics, debates on separation of church and state, divorce law ; head of Women's Movement after Eva Perón's death, 1952; Revolution of 1955; imprisonment, 1955-1958, and exile in Uruguay; return to Argentina and clandestine political activity.
