Field Secretary of National Vocational Guidance Association, 1930; termination at NVGA and first meeting with Frederick P. Keppel; Keppel’s request to Morse A. Cartwright of American Association for Adult Education to provide financial support for Hoppock, 1931; creation of National Occupational Conference, 1932-1933; creating budgets for NOC; relation of NOC to AAAE; creation of Council of Guidance and Personnel Associations; occupational studies; readability testing with New Jersey high school students and publication of results in OCCUPATIONS, 1936; OCCUPATIONAL ABSTRACTS; OCCUPATIONAL INDEX; grants given by Carnegie Corporation based on advice of NOC; dissolution of NOC, 1939; Hoppock’s continued publication of OCCUPATIONAL ABSTRACTS and OCCUPATIONAL INDEX under Occupational Index, Inc; subsequent work at NYU.
