Work as secretary to Alfred Zantzinger Reed during his research on legal education at Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching; work in Carnegie Cooperative Investment Office, 1936-1939; coming to work at investment office of Carnegie Corporation; taking business courses at New York University; transferring to role as Secretary to the President under Devereux C. Josephs; decision to pursue secretarial work in lieu of further exploring investments; establishment of Russian Research Center at Harvard University; 1939-1948; working as secretary to Columbia University President Frank D. Fackenthal; Charles Dollard, 1948-1955; secretary to John W. Gardner; Carnegie’s dealings with the New York Public Library, 1955-1967. Impressions of D.C. Josephs, Herbert C.
