Biographical Note

Educational testing specialist.

Scope and Contents

Vocational advisor, Veteran's Administration, 1946-1950, impressions of Science Research Associate (S.R.A.) test materials; employment by S.R.A. as salesman, upstate New York territory, 1950; relocation to corporate headquarters, Chicago IL, as assistant sales manager, 1955; field sales manager for Ohio; regional sales director for Michigan, Kentucky, West Virginia, Indiana, Ohio, western Pennsylvania; work in project management with various centrally scored testing programs; experiences as Test Department troubleshooter; head of Special Products Division; development of reading lab; desexing Kuder tests; S.R.A. buyout by International Business Machines, 1964, shift in emphasis from educational testing products to textbook publication; growing frustration, early retirement, 1971; impressions of Lyle Spencer, Edith Maris, Don Parker, Dr. Fritz Kuder.
