Background: born Hartford, CT; career: State Street Bank, Boston; Chief Financial Officer of CitiGroup Asset Management at 7 World Trade Center [WTC]; pre-9/11: love of New York City, commuter from Princeton, NJ on the PATH train, mystique of financial world, view from office of North Tower and the Hudson River, private pilot license; 9/11: sound of explosion; emergency response coordination: initiating orderly evacuation of floor, heading to north end of 7 WTC at time of South Tower impact, concern for children at daycare centers, experience at St. Vincent's Hospital, arrival at disaster recovery center on Greenwich Street; journey to New Jersey; post-9/11: hightened awareness of potential threats, intensified appreciation of family life, displacement from work and loss of 7 WTC, stress of immediate return to work and relocation to Stamford.
