Born Washington, D.C.; education: B.A. in English University of Maryland, Master's in Reading Education Fordham University; career: Jesuit Volunteer Corps, teacher at Nativity Mission Center, ordained by Society of Jesuits, school administrator, ordained Roman Catholic Church, prep school dean; 9/11: commute on subway to WTC area, initial efforts to aid in rescue; post-9/11: generosity and gratitude of New Yorkers, support for/of families of victims, shift of New York attitude, response from Catholic community, memorial services, need for increased religious tolerance, political views.
