Background: born New York City; education: B.A. finance University of Wisconsin-Madison 1991; career: Keefe, Bruyette & Woods on 89th floor South Tower since 1998; 9/11: experiencing first plane's impact, explosion leaving office after plane hits North Tower, narrow escape from elevator when second plane hits South Tower, crowded stairwells, slight injury, experiencing buildings' collapse from health club at Broadway and Wall Street; post-9/11: one of 9 people from floor of 75 employees to survive, grief, business recovery and relocation, avoidance of media and politics, security concerns lifestyle changes.
