Born Jersey City, NJ; education: B.S. Mechanical Engineering Rutgers University 1988; career: consultant Factory Mutual Engineering 1988-1990, Johnson and Higgins 1996-1997, risk management consultant and insurance broker Marsh and McLennan 1997-present; 9/11: late arrival to office on 100th floor of North Tower, at North Tower 78th floor sky lobby during first plane crash, walk down stairwell from 78th floor, debris from plane crashes in North Tower Plaza, witnessing South Tower collapse, escape from plaza escalator to Church Street, evacuation to New Jersey; post-9/11: lost colleagues and friends, recovery and assistance effort, visit to ground zero, support of George W. Bush and new security measures, increased awareness of global politics and news.
