Impressions of Alexandra Kollontai, initially from her writing and after 1931 in person; her interest in the Swedish-Soviet League and in the Swedish women's movement, dislike of war and dedication to peace, concern for her family and friends; success as Soviet ambassador to Sweden, negotiation with Finnish statesmen, opposition to Nazism; optimism for women's progress, especially for working women.
