Gradual move into motion picture directing from painting; making shorts at Warner Brothers; ballet shorts CAPRICCIO ESPAGNOLE and GAIETE PARISIENNE; Holywood attitude towards art films; experience as a film director; commitment to making a film, chemistry between actors, problems of comedy, agents and their effect on films through the actors. Audio is comprised of narrator's excerpts from the Westinghouse Broadcasting Company's radio program series "Memoirs of the Movies"
