Childhood: early life in Brooklyn, New York, lower middle class family, three male siblings, father' s occupation in a cloth cutting business, coming out, father's death; B.A: Brooklyn College; career: running store salesperson, running store management position, store expansion to two different locations-- Grand Central Terminal and the World Trade Center (WTC), construction of new stores, store regular schedule in WTC, stories of regular store clientele; 9/11: arrival at store, provision of aid to particular store customer at collision of the first plane, rapid departure from running store, plain sight of the WTC, one tower aflame, sight/sound of collision of second plane, emotion of fear and confusion, realization of terrorist attack, arrival home, news of fall of Twin Towers, emotion of disbelief, shock, purchase of food supplies, trip to synagogue; post-9/11: discussion of celebrities' visit to WTC, 9/11's effect on sleep pattern, discussion of American foreign politics, discussion of Reform temple, 9/11 support group attendance.
