Apollo Theater dancer; talent coordinator, Apollo Theater

Scope and Contents

Born in Washington DC, adolescence in New York City. As the eldest daughter of Hal Jackson, met many performers and personalities at a young age, including Lena Horne and Ruth Brown. Fond memories of Ralph Cooper. As a talent scout and educator in DC public school district, reached out to young Black performers with support and advice. Has introduced 20,000+ acts to the Apollo as talent coordinator for casting of Amateur Night. Founded Kemet Productions non-profit talent scouting
